The weimaraner, affectionately known as the Gray Ghost, was developed in Germany in the 19th century for large-game hunting. Weimaraners are friendly, playful, and highly energetic. They can also be stubborn and require an experienced owner willing to work with the dog in early and ongoing obedience classes

Appearance
The coat is short, smooth, and sleek. Coat color is shades of mouse gray to silver gray, sometimes with a small white mark on the chest. The unusually colored eyes are shades of light amber, gray, or blue-gray.
